An appeal - Contribution and Membership

Vadodara Innovation Council (VIC) is proud to be the first and the only city based innovation council in India and a part of National Innovation Council, New Delhi.Since its inception in May 2011, under the leadership of Dr. Madhu Mehta, VIC has taken up number of initiatives, to a name few, reaching to 40+ schools and 15000+ school students for programs on “how to be more curious, questioning and innovative”, Tod-Fod-Jod (TFJ) workshops for kids, TFJ Mentor workshop for teachers & principals, 23 monthly seminars, i-Innovate & i-Explore programs etc.

All these programs are free.

Credit goes to entire VIC team for their untiring efforts in making things happen.
VIC is practically operating without funds, staff and office setup.

On 16.06.13 Dr. Sam Pitroda, chairman National Innovation Council, launched VIC initiative to make “Vadodara - an Innovative City”.

To realize this ambitious vision, VIC needs to scale up and should have a sustainable setup.
Therefore, VIC now announces the individual membership fees / donation of minimum Rs. 500/- per annum and Rs. 200/- for a college student.
VIC is also entitled for the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) fund.

Recently VIC is registered under section 25, as a non-profit organization, to carry forward initiatives to foster innovations at all level. A cheque may please to be drawn in favor of “Vadodara Innovation Council” payable at Vadodara.

Showcasing by Students - 8-Sep-2013 in Vadodara

VIC Vision: Vadodara – an Innovative City of India

A.  10 to 10-15 AM – Registration (Free)

B.  10-15 to 11 AM – First Session – Table Tennis Robot

A live demonstration of a working prototype model developed by a school student which costs only Rs.5000 against similar factory made robots costing between Rs.45,000 to 85,000. This robot is a light weight (only 2 kg), easy to carry, easy to operate and plays all table tennis strokes.

Profile of the Speaker:
Ma. Ankit Panchal, 12t Std. (science) student of BHS-ONGC, is a table tennis player. He is very creative and developed this robot with a motivation from his TT coach Ms. Shubhangi Bhatt and principal & trustees of his school.

C.  11 to 11 - 30  AM – Second Session – “Wows & Wishes”

VIC Flagship school program running over 40 schools covering 15000+ students - “wows & wishes” to be presented by selected students from Alembic, Navrachna, Utkarsh, Srdarsigh Rana Prathmik shala Sayajigunj and Hari Seva Ishwarbhai schools.   

D.  11-30 to 12 -15 PM  – Third Session – Indian Robot Olympiad

Qualified for the national finals of “Indian Robot Olympiad 2013” at New Delhi and the winners of Bhopal qualifying round, the students from Shannen, Navrachana, BHS, Anand Vidya Vihar, DPS, D R Amin and Mother’s schools will show case their talent.   

This program is open for all.

Request Parents and teachers to come along with students for creative insights and inspiration.

TFJ Mentor Workshop: VIC and Community Science Centre (CSC) are jointly organizing second Tod-Fod-Jod (TFJ) Mentor workshop for school teachers & principals on Monday 30.09.13 at CSC with an aim to have a TFJ centre at every school. Schools are requested to register at CSC Vadodara.
